The BOT-3000E is a portable digital tribometer, manufactured by Regan Scientific Instruments (RSI). SSI uses this state-of-the-art technology to measure the slip resistance potential of hard walkway surface materials.
The BOT-3000E is capable of testing both Static and Dynamic Coefficient of Friction measurements and complies with ANSI/TCNA A137.1 and ANSI A326.3. The BOT-3000E is the only tribometer on the market with Bluetooth capability, and the STEP application is the only software designed to interface with the BOT-3000E. SSI’s STEP application provides real-time record keeping, which is stored on a secure cloud server. The analytical data compiled using the STEP application adheres to the Daubert Principle, and holds up in a court of law to strengthen courtroom credibility.
As the East Coast Representative for RSI, we are equipped with a certified calibration station (the BOT requires annual calibration). SSI is qualified to administer BOT operational training and when necessary, provide hands-on training. This training is a demonstration of the correct usage of the device under several different circumstances and should not be considered General Floor Safety Training.
For General Floor Safety Training, see University of North Texas College of Engineering Floor Safety Certification course.
